Graduation Day for Blue Edge students
Underprivileged youth awarded certificates and trophies

BLUE EDGE - Empowering Lives, an initiative by Blue Dart and the NGO Oasis India, felicitated the fifth batch of students who have successfully completed the program at a Graduation Ceremony held in Mumbai. The students received certificates and trophies from Yogesh Dhingra, COO and Finance Director, Blue Dart Express Ltd., for their performance in the program, which spanned over a period of six months.
Blue Edge - Empowering Lives, a program meant to support, educate and train underprivileged youth has empowered over 250 students over the past 20 months. Many of them are placed in successful and reputed organizations in Telecom, Retail, Consumer Goods etc and have effectively kick-started their potentially flourishing careers. These individuals today are better equipped to develop and utilize new skills in their professional domain and are gearing up for the demands of a knowledge based economy and are a step closer in adding stability to their lives.
Speaking on the occasion Yogesh Dhingra, COO and Finance Director, Blue Dart Express Ltd said, "Blue Edge is an initiative aimed at promoting education amongst the underprivileged youngsters. The focus of this program is to facilitate youth to emerge as productive assets and create conditions for them to develop into acting citizens of a democratic society. We are determined to guide and make a difference in the lives of the youth, to empower them with knowledge skills and attitude, make them employable in society and contribute positively to it."
A delighted Blue Edge student - Tabasum Baqa on receiving her certificate said," This course has given me a lot of confidence and will help me put my best foot forward in my life henceforth. Today I am more optimistic about my opportunities in life. I am sure to use this experience positively to build up a stable future for me and my family."

Located at a premise in Bandra, Mumbai, which is refurbished solely for the purpose of the training, BLUE EDGE - Empowering Lives entails training of approximately 50 beneficiaries over a period of six months on English - written and verbal communication, Computer Skills, Life Skills and Customer Orientation. The program is designed to educate the beneficiaries about the possible employment opportunities, while equipping them with relevant skill sets, thus enabling them to make informed choices and most significantly bring stability into their lives.
