ICAI awards Blue Dart for financial transperancy

Mumbai : January 19, 2007:

Blue Dart Express Limited, South Asia's #1 air express courier and package distribution company, bagged the award for Excellence in Financial Reporting amongst entries received under the 'Service Sector' Category of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) Awards.

Blue Dart received the Silver Shield at a special award function held in New Delhi in the presence of His Excellency Dr. S.S. Sidhu, Governor of Manipur.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yogesh Dhingra, Finance Director and Group CFO, Blue Dart Express Limited said, "This is yet another milestone for Blue Dart. The awardees have been selected by a panel of judges on review of accounting practices adopted by the participating enterprises in the preparation of their financial statements.

The ICAI holds an annual competition for these Awards, which were initiated in 1958, with the objective of recognising and encouraging excellence in the reporting of financial information to promote better standards in the presentation of information in published accounts.
