Blue Dart to invest Rs 200 crore across India

The Blue Dart Express Ltd has today announced the inauguration of a new 6,600 square feet warehouse in Guwahati, which is expected to improve storage and handling of shipments, facilitate faster delivery of consignments and enhance connectivity. The new facility is part of the Rs 200-crore investment that the company has earmarked for its expansion nationally, said Amod Dasgupta, vice-president (eastern region) of the company.

He said, in view of the tremendous progress of trade in Guwahati as well as in the North-east in the recent times, a new service centre in the city will be set up before the year-end. To meet and exceed its customer expectations, Blue Dart has planned to add 120 new facilities across the country in the current year out of which five would be in the North-east, he added.
